… and if you look closely and enlarge and lighten the picture you will see directly inside the main deck window his daughter, Capt Leonie at the console there. This Father Daughter team has been seen in many pilothouses lately and seem comfortable controlling this vessel as a double-ender of sorts.

that the passengers of many excursion boats (including the AMERICA) would see as they arrived here. The park was originally named Fern Grove in the late 1890\’s and was a popular summer destination in the Louisville area. They featured a dance hall, hotel, cabins, roller coaster and a pool as their attractions. The 1937 flood wiped it out.

It had no identification, so one must conclude it was the remains of a catalogue ordered off-brand instrument.

We explorers made up many possibilities for thisstrange structure. The opening looks to have one time accomodated stairs, so my bets hinge on a band stand. Near this location we found a baby grand piano harp.
