COLLISION OF THE POLANDER AND HORNET, APRIL 19, 1832.

The Polander, Captain Menaugh, had just left the wharf at Cincinnati, about eight o’clock, p. M., the night being dark and foggy, when she encountered the Hornet, which was coming into port. Both vesĀ­sels were considerably injured, and the Captain of the Hornet was crushed to death. One of the crew of the same vessel was severely wounded. No further particulars have been published.
