American Queen and Victory Nominated for Travel + Leisure’s World’s Best Awards

American Queen Steamboat Company (AQSC) and Victory Cruise Lines (VCL) have been nominated in the Best Cruise category in the 2021 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards. Voting is now open and individuals can cast their ballot online at http://www.tlworldsbest.com/vote now through May 10, 2021.

AQSC and VCL are looking forward to once again welcoming aboard our loyal guests, team members and partners in 2021.

To safely and responsibly relaunch our fleet, we have implemented new health & safety protocols, rolled out partnerships with Ochsner Health and Vikand Medical, and are working with local, state and federal health agencies to ensure a safe return to cruising. The adjusted protocols include 100 percent COVID-19 testing for all guests and crew prior to embarkation on every voyage and mandatory masks in all venues and situations where recommended social distancing is not possible, including entertainment venues, elevators, shoreside and shore excursion motorcoaches.

AQSC will begin the 2021 season with sailings on the American Duchess, which cruises on the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee rivers, and which will resume operations with the March 15 – 22, Charms of the South sailing from New Orleans, LA to Memphis, TN. *Please note, this itinerary begins March 14 with the pre-cruise stay in New Orleans, LA.

Following the American Duchess, AQSC will debut the American Countess, the latest paddlewheeler to join the AQSC fleet, on the Mississippi, Ohio and Tennessee rivers, with the March 28 – April 4, Charms of the South itinerary from Memphis, TN to New Orleans, LA. *Please note, this itinerary begins March 27 with the pre-cruise stay in Memphis, TN.

For VCL, we will begin with the Victory II, which sails on the Great Lakes and along Eastern seaboard, with the May 6 – 15, Splendor of the Great Lakes itinerary sailing from Chicago, IL to Toronto, ON. *Please note, this itinerary begins May 5 with the pre-cruise stay in Chicago, IL.
