Dear S&D colleagues,
Lee Woodruff, Chairman of the Board of Governors, S&D of Pioneer Rivermen, just informed me that, due to the continuing 'C-Virus' threat and uncertainty, he and S&D President Jeff Spear have decided to CANCEL the annual S&D meeting, 2020 originally scheduled for September 18-19. S&D REFLECTOR Editor, David Tschiggfrie, also in the discussion and is preparing a statement, with formal letter from Lee and Jeff, to appear in the June REFLECTOR. David is getting the magazine put to bed and in the hands of 'Carlisle & Ryan' our printer. Factors of continuing uncertainty, reservations and travel issues involved in attending, members or family members with compromised immune systems another series of factors. A tough decision but wise and prudent at this time. Jeff Spear will also meet with the Hotel Lafayette, Marietta, Ohio who hosts our event to inform them. *Watch for information in your June REFLECTOR. Last time S&D was canceled for major national issues was during World War II. *Note: S&D Officers/Board of Governors will keep the organization business, financial matters moving forward by their E=Mails, phone conversations.
