One of the long-time repeat passengers of the Delta Queen is Pat Carr. Just found out she has been put in a Rest Home, being very confused. I'm told she thinks most of her visitors are fellow DQ passengers and talks to them of her beloved DQ. Just thought I'd pass this on, if anyone has lost track of her.

David,
Thanks for letting us know! So sorry to hear about Pat!

*RE: Friend Pat Carr*
Morning, David,
Many thanks for passing the word RE: river friend Pat Carr but good hearing from you here. I'm sure Pat is being well-cared for at this stage. It's tough but a situation we're seeing more and more of each day with dementia, Alzheimer's etc. Pat always so positive, upbeat, interested in the river and boats. Been a rough year for a number of our DELTA QUEEN, S&D of Pioneer Rivermen and MOR group with illnesses, accidents, surgeries etc. Keep us posted. Good hearing here from you and Linda

Several years ago Barb H. mentioned that this is case with Pat. Barb said that Pat is pleasantly confused, and, at least at that time, believed she is on the DELTA QUEEN for a trip. I guess we should all be so lucky if faced with dementia.
