With all the hoopla about the calliope from the Streckfus excursion steamer WASHINGTON soon to be placed aboard the riverboat QUEEN of the MISSISSIPPI, I looked up several images of the instrument, presented herewith. These were taken in the summer of 1936 at Steubenville, Ohio, with the boat's band leader Irvin Hardesty at the keyboard.
