Kudos to JoAnn and the Other DQ Gals

Kudos to JoAnn, Barb and the rest of the DQ gals. For the past eight years and longer, they have dedicated their lives to saving the DELTA QUEEN. Wherever a crowd of steamboat fans gathered they'd be there handing out info sheets and collecting signatures for petitions. They worked tirelessly.
It's a shame that their efforts did not achieve the goal we all wanted, but they fought as hard as they could for it. We all owe them a big "Thank You" for their passion and work.

    *THANKS! All theDQ girls!*
    Morning, Steamboating colleagues:
Jim, I agree 100% RE: the long, hard work the 'gals' expended on behalf of the on-going DQ initiative. Jo Ann leading the group with Ruthie Guenther, Barb Hameister, Carol Roth collections signatures, calling reps, speaking at S&D/MOR meetings. Who have I left out? I thought to myself 'how many times have we been through this?'

I daresay a whole new approach needed for future of the boat. What needed down the road clear, direct communication from those at the top and in the know cutting out rumors, statements made in good faith. Also, how has the DQ restaurant enterprise been faring? Haven't heard/read much about that. Perhaps time to think of a new plan, route for the boat to take possibly as a shore-based hotel operation. As we heard the DQ can't go on another year or two like this. Again, what do I know? Cheers!

AMEN, brother Jim. We all need to individually and collectively stand and raise a toast to the "gals of the DQ" for their tireless efforts to free the DQ from the Grinch of Foggy Bottom.

        re: he quest continues ....

Thanks to all for there past, present, and future efforts on behalf of the DQ. As long as she floats there will be hope.

Merry Christmas to all with best wishes for a prosperous and successful new year(s).

        Keep your steam up!
