As usual, I can't get the video, something about needed Adobe10 Flash, but word from the Sternline telegraph has them in the TennTom last night.

      DQ trip videos

Finally got the videos to play, and that was Debbie Fagnano on the NATCHEZ calliope playing her finale, the Saints, as the DQ passed. I believe she also played I Aint Down Yet, which she also played at the restart of the DQ under DN... having found out who Finley's partner is, I have to tell him I'm still wearing my Oregon Ducks stuff, even though his Beavers triumphed - in the first meeting!

              Demopolis webcam

Here´s a webcam showing the river at Demopolis. I figured out that it must be shortly above the lock and the webcam is facing downriver.

So if anyone is able to figure out when the DQ is locking through we might get a glimpse of her. According to previous information the DQ should be at Demopolis by 3 pm today.

              John,

no information regarding your question right now.

A few from near Epes (Rt 11 Bridge over the Tombigbee)

Was able to catch up (or rather, the DQ finally caught up with me) about 10 AM. Below are some views taken as she travelled under Rt 11 about 25 miles before Heflin Lock.

Yes Virginia, there is a working Calliope on the DQ

Steam can be seen from the Calliope as the DQ passed Mile 250. Who was the Calliope player?

                      Departing Heflin Lock

Sunny day, a bit windy. The only thing missing are the passengers........

From the Sumter Overlook, near mile 270

Road up to the overlook was gated closed, so a quick run up the road just in time to get a few more shots.

Heading north, Mile 270ish. After dark 8:30 pm at Bevill Lock

A few more from the overlook. No more photos today as there are so few roads along the Tombigbee with decent access. Lockmaster reports by Bevill Lock about 8:30 pm

Thanks to all who helped with some schedule information.

                            Running times?

                            Are they running 24/7?

yes, 24 hours, but seems a bit slower at night

Seems to be about 8-10 mph daylight hours, a bit slower, estimate about 6-7 mph, at night. They also stopped about 30 minutes after Demopolis Lock to get some folks on or off.
