    DQ Farewell doin's in Cinci

    HI All,
I'm going to just post the press release Vicki sent me, I can't improve on the wording! Pic is of our banner--WHERE'S YOURS??? :)
    S'
    David & Linda D.
PS--note the are three "Save" messages in the pic, stickers on each our cars! Also note the dry ground--we need rain!

The boat is scheduled to arrive in Cincinnati at 9:00 a.m. and leave at 5:00 p.m., although most likely she will not depart until 6:00 or later. She will go upriver to Maysville, Kentucky, arriving early in the morning on Wednesday and depart at 1:00 p.m.

She will then head back downriver to Madison, Indiana, where she is scheduled to arrive at 8:00 a.m. and remain until 1:00 p.m.

If you live in the Cincinnati area, or if you are a passenger arriving or departing on October 21, please come to the Public Landing with the biggest Save the Delta Queen sign you can come up with. Most likely the media will be there in the greatest concentration between 3:00 and 6:30 p.m., but if you can't make it then, please join us whenever you can. I expect there will be some TV crews present throughout the day.

If you can also get to Maysville and/or Madison, please go on over, and take as many people as you can with you. We need to have the biggest possible show of support so the media -- and hence the general public and our elected officials -- will know that this is not the end of our fight to save the Delta Queen. It is merely the beginning of the next phase.

    Onward & upward!

    Vicki

      Brown Wheel?

Is it my eyesight, or does the wheel look that bad in these photos?

It's not you. If you look in Travis' post, he has pictures of the DQ in Louisville, including a picture of the boat headin upriver, and the wheel does look darker
