    In Memory of Captain Clarke Campell "Doc" Hawley 1935 - 2022

    With deep sadness we have to report the passing of Captain Doc Hawley on November 12th, 2022.

    Nola.com already published a nice tribute to his life.

    I was so sad to see the anouncement on NOLA.com yesterday.
    I met Capt. Hawley back in the 70s when I took a night trip on the Natchez.
    He was so nice, and it turned out he was a friend of my cousin, Capt. Charlie Fehlig.
    We talked about the other pilots in my family, and he invited me to spend the trip in the pilothouse.
    I've always remembered that trip.​
