    Happy Birthday wishes Kalliope Keith!

    Please all join me in a singing of the traditional natal day celebration tune..."Happy Birthday"...or is that "The Old Grey Mare"...I always get those two confused!

    Either way....A Big Happy Birthday with one long and two shorts on the big Lunkenheimer steam whistle for our own Keith Norrington, who turns a spry 39 today (well, that is what he told me!)!

    Yep a little birdy reminded me a few days ago that Keith was having a birthday this week. A card is in the mail. Happy B Day! Enjoy that chocolate cake you always have.

      I echo these sentiments, but mine are on Estey 1906 at St. Mary's Church in Orono, Maine with all stops out. Happy Birthday, Keith!

          May I add my own echos of Happy Birthday to Calliope Keith. I have always wondered why it isn't the mothers who should be receiving the birthday wishes. After all, didn't they do all the work! p;-}
          Happy Birthday Keith.

                A big harbor salute to you, Keith, on your birthday! Your friendship, encouragement, hospitality and generosity are gifts that you willingly share with all the river family, and Jonathan and I have been the recipient of your kindness countless times over the years. Although the words don't do justice to our feelings, please know that you are a real treasure in our lives and we are much better people for having known you and having been blessed with your friendship. Enjoy your special day!

                    MANY THANKS for ALL the kind wishes for my "double nickel" (55) birthday! WOW! Such kind and genial remarks make this old tub feel like a floating palace! Travis serenaded me on the little pipe organ in our lobby this morning with a rousing ragtime version of "Happy Birthday", followed by "The Old Gray Mare"!

                    Some days I feel like the ol' MAMIE BARRETT looked last week when I visited her in the bayou -- sagging and falling apart! But, I'll try to keep up steam and will surely look forward to seeing y'all at the museum and along the big river.

                    Thanks again, dear friends, for your gracious greetings!

                        Hear! Hear! I ate some Ice Cream in your honor Keith!! OK, so I would have eaten it anyway. . . But I did play our CD of the Natchez' calliope today!
                        Hope it was a great day.
