Originally from the steam-powered propeller towboat LUNGA POINT (no. T1661, Way's Steam Towboat Directory), this table was in use as an officer's mess table on the DELTA QUEEN before it came to the AMERICAN QUEEN, now located at the "Front Porch of America" on the AQ.

I'm sure there are a lot of memories connected with this table as well as with the LUNGA POINT, which may still be existing. Way's Directory mentions the steam fron her boilers being used for cleaning barges at Port Allen, LA, still in 1980 by the Port Allen Marine Service.
