And here is the answer: It's located on Lake Biwa, Japan. Here is a link to a blog entry on the owners website which shows a lot of nice pictures of the boat: http://biwako.biwako.shiga-saku.net/e17282.html Saturday, February 3. 2007ISLAND QUEEN at Coney IslandThursday, February 1. 2007Tell City, IN next largest PortHowdy, I didn't fall asleep when a tow hit one of the Twin Bridges at Henderson, Ky, and fifteen of the barges got loose. The tow was trying to get between two piers??? is it called and missed his calculations and hit a bridge pier because of high water. All was okay on the structure of the bridge and folks felt that it affected our area economy by one million dollars a day to a million dollars an hour.....so, who knows. Travel was diverted to another route as the folks inspected the bridge. Now, for the REALLY EXCITING news in this part of the state along the Ohio River. Well, that sleepy, silent, devastated economy town of Tell City, In, is going to be the projected largest port between Pittsburgh, PA and St. Louis, MO, along the Ohio River. There is parcels of land amounting to 900 acres along the river banks that some company is going to help put a Port in there, new railway system and it is going to be spectacular. Our town, Evansville, thought of the same idea but I believe we only had 40 to 90 acres to work with, but don't quote me. They also wanted to add a Port and new Railway system. This helps farmers and move other manufacturing goods to and from. Well, that Tell City, In, has come up with a whopper and is using 900 acres of land to do this new Port. Their economy has been depressed for years so this will shake things up in a hurry. Construction time.....sorry, don't know, haven't read the newspaper yet.....this late summer, next year, don't know, but it is happening, folks. An area not too far away was also depressed for their economy and our state gave the last gambling license to them and it is up and rolling great. So, this is a great shot in the arm for Tell City, In, folks. They make those famous Tell City Pretzels, Tell City Furniture area that use to be really hopping decades past. So, I'm sure more furniture manufactures may come back who knows. Lots of corn shipped as Ethanol plants are us is starting to happen in this neck of the woods because of all of the agriculture here. So, thought I'd tell you that the Ohio River in two years will be ripping right along with six cities redoing riverfronts and such. In five years you won't recognize this area of the country along the river fronts. Hope Tell City, In, does real well and Congrats to them. They have a lovely female Mayor and she also likes progress. They're German there and known for stingy, beer, brats, and old Heritage. Likeable folks. The best to them. Mary
