Located in the three story power house of the old lock No. 34 of Chilo the museum is focusing on working and living on the Ohio River. Hands-on exhibits of a wicket dam and locks and a panoramic view form the observation deck are some of the highlights of the museum. A recent addition to the museum's collection are the steam engines of the lighthouse tender WAKEROBIN (#5680), last operated as the USS NIGHTMARE I by the Bernstein family. The old lock site is surrounded by a beautiful park.
