What is your given name, riverrat? We like to know with whom we are corresponding. Your comments sound like some I've seen on blanket emails, naysaying the Delaware North group because they are a large company. As I responded to those emails, until I win $100 million in a lottery, I'll have to depend on someone with more capital than I to own these boats. To this point I have seen nothing but good from Delaware North. I suspect the complainers aren't able to get their little perks they used to get from friends in the Cincy/NOLA offices. As far as not another Betty Blake, no there was only one Betty Blake. At that juncture the DQ's problem wasn't financial, it was political, and she as the daughter of a politician and a professional PR person with a love of the boat got the job done. This time it was financial and the people we've been hailing have come through with the money, not just with the letters. I think many would be astounded to know the value of the cruises that Phyllis booked before the sale. I'm sure she wouldn't want the amount publicized, but be assured it was probably the best an individual had ever done, even under the good circumstances. Perhaps riverrat didn't see the Delaware North message after the sale which indicated they had been following this board and were pushed over the top by the loyalty and dedication of the DQ supporters. So Betty, Phyllis, all of us who booked, who wrote letters, we are all part of the CONTINUING history of the Delta Queen.............
