I had just finished narrating when the storm hit the Natchez. I always get nervous on the roof with a microphone in hand and lightning all around. I was wondering what was happening up at Robin Street as we could see the wall of water up there headed our way. The whitecaps and horizontal rain were impressive. Even the young Natchez leaked through her stern windows on the Boiler Deck, so its no wonder Her Ladyship dripped a bit. Its been interesting to see the DQ so far out as we turn just below the bridges. In fact, I hope I've gotten some interesting pictures with the AQ directly behind her, it looks like she has 2 pilothouses. I'm heading back north tomorrow and plan to be back at Robin Street for the Aug. 26 blessed event.........
