Captain Mike,
This letter is long overdue, but Pamela and I just wanted to say how much we enjoy your ongoing reports on the preparations of The Delta Queen.
Don't know when we will be back onboard -- the aftermath of 9/11 shook our finances rather smartly -- but we're on the mend and trust us: it is a matter of "when," not if.
Meanwhile, we journeyed from Huntington to Cincinnati last week to be on hand for the party on the MQ during the Phyllis Dale/Bud Black Reunion cruise. What fun to see so many good steamboatin friends again. And *everyone* was raving about your wonderful online reports on the DQ. You are a very good, perceptive writer and we have eagerly anticipated each installment. Keep up the good work!
