Hi, Wes, yes the Delta Queen has a small, 300 horsepower bow thruster that was installed in the early 1970s, to assist in manuevering her bow at slow speeds. It only pushes from side to side and has no affect at higher speeds. It is diesel powered and is operated independant from the other, electrical supply generators. It is a shaft driven unit, and a very handy item when in layups!
