Yes, it is true that the state has passed legislation to allow the casino boats to remain dockside. But it is unclear when this may happen. The whole thing is very convoluted. Our best guess is that the tying up of the boats may begin around Labor Day, if at all. Each company gets the choice of whether to cruise or go dockside. I'm hoping the Grand Victoria will continue to cruise, but only time will tell.
In the meantime, we continue to cruise the Ohio on our authenic paddlewheel casino boat. So if any of you are in the Rising Sun (Greater Cincinnati) area, come on down and take a ride with us.
