I thought the Str. Sprague whistle was at the Ohio River Museum, in Marietta, OH.
I know we blew it on Capt. Nelson Jones' "Steam Barge" at the 1999 S&D meeting in Marietta (what a basso profundo hooter that one is! It'll make your heart rattle round in your chest!).
I have a tape of it with Jack Custer blowing salutes to a passing train in the background.
Seems to me Jack Custer (our narrator in residence) stated it was property of the Ohio River Museum...so, that MUST be where you saw it...unless I need to do some scavanging around to get my story right.
