I may not be blue water, but I've been in the New Orleans harbor since 1984, and I've walked over the little rises in the Natchez' deck which have been formed when she's pulled out in drydock. And I've seen the cracks in the galley floor created when pullled out for inspection. There is stress created. And being in the NOLA harbor, I've seen towboats, cranes, other huge items put on deck ships designed for that.. I'm afraid you wouldn't want to be on the DQ if she were on a container ship, because she'd be below deck or on top of a pile of containers. Anyway, its just my opinion and if others feel excited, fine. Just don't be surprised if things don't work out for the dedicated DQ fans, one way or the other.
