Oh, Jane...I understand, but as you will get to know, I
sometimes let my enthusiasm overrule my good sense, and
say things that aren't appropriate. I should have known
that "revealing all" would be upsetting to you, and
others, I'm sure.
I just hate to see historical memories go away with
each generation, caused, I think, by not having had the
good sense to question my grandmother and mother about
family history before they were gone. Our's was a
colorful family history, too; the gr-grandfather I
spoke of earlier, was mixed up right the middle of the
Reelfoot Lake Night Riders business, and I'd give a
finger right now to know the "rest of the story."
