If you're going to be at Tall Stacks, maybe there? Miz
Carol (Schiffer) is our "tour director" for these
trips, and I know she give us some free time,
so...closer to TS, maybe we can all meet and visit?

Just a note about one of the beautiful steamboats that
sank in the Mississippi near here...be great if someone
had the time and wherewithal to dig her up! Surprised
that ol' Emmett Lewis didn't try to find her.

The TARASCON sank off Cottonwood Point (Ridgely, TN,
south of Tiptonville, actually nearer Caruthersville,
MO, on Dec. 26, 1917. Don't know how much the river has
changed course over the past 86 years, but it must be a
lot!
