Hi, Keith; thanks for the update on the WAKEROBIN,
since 1980, when Way's Packet Dir. stops her history.
Like you, I hate to see these great old steamboats used
in such demeaning ways, but at least they are still
around! Does BB Boats/Cincy still own her?

I used to live at Versailles IN (working as editor of
an international membership mag in Friendship, IN) and
know about most of the place names mentioned here...I
miss living there; so much river history and things
river-wise to do. I'm only 10 miles from the
Mississippi at Hickman, KY, or 30 miles away at
Tiptonville, TN, but it isn't the same. People on the
Miss. simply do not "use" the river as do Ohio River
folks. There's a planned Cade's Landing near T'ville,
but not a spadeful of dirt has been turned, yet...
