I can't wait. Tomorrow, I get up at dawn to catch my flight to NOLA to be one of the bartenders on board. Today, I am cleaning out my email mailbox and again encouraging friends far and near to book trips. It turns out that some people I know from all parts of the world have been passengers before I ever came on board and fell in love with the steamboatin' life. I look forward to meeting new people aboard and nothing pleases me more than to hear how loved is America's steamboat family.
Again, I send an extra special thank you to Phyllis with her tireless efforts and optimism. It's been a long winter but I am overjoyed to be part of this new beginning.
