Thanks for the update, Travis. I really hate to hear that about both boats being in such sorry shape.
Sounds like a neat idea to run excursions on the Diamond Lady and use the President as a wharfboat. I sure miss that first summer of gambling in Iowa (1991) and working on the Diamond Lady, fresh out of the shipyard. She was a real good boat. We used to meet the President just above the I-280 bridge every other day on our return from Muscatine...it was a pretty sight.
As much as I hate to see them both laid up, seems almost fitting that the first two boats to start gambling in Iowa should be retired together. I'm still waiting on my huge lottery payoff so I can rescue them both...dream on.
