I REALLY have to cook dinner, but couldn't resist passing this
along ..... Told Mom that you (Janie) wanted to hear some of
Mom's memories of Daddy Greene, and she started
laughing. Seems that one night in the cabin on the Tom,
back when Mom was the 14 year old piano player in the
band and your grandmother was her chaperone while my
grandma and grandpa were over on the Chris, your
grandfather got really mad about something or other and let
fly with some mighty oaths. Mary B. was horrified and said,
"SHHHH!! SHHHH!! SHHHHHUSHH, GORDON!!! THINK
OF THE PASSENGERS!!!!" God, I love that story.
