I must admit that I never got to experience the glory days of the showboat. But I am absolutely in love with them. I very much enjoy the Branson Belle in Branson, Missouri (I know she is a more modern vessel, but the atmosphere is still unbelievable). I was wondering if any type of amusement park like Silver Dollar City would be interested in restoring her? I remember seeing the Goldenrod in St. Louis as a very small boy, and she was practically under water. Just today I found on the net that that memory wasn't a dream... she really was real.. but sadly, she may now be living a nightmare. I would love to help in any way I can to save this vessel.
