Go figure this then: My first boat was our family sternwheel houseboat, the MARJESS. Recent findings amongst some old plans, here at the shipyard, say that the boat should average 7 mph. If the MARJESS was able to maintain an unobstructed constant speed of seven miles-per-hour over the entire 981 miles of the Ohio River, it would have taken my paddlewheeler 140.1 hours to cruise the length of the Ohio. 1401 is the mirror image of 1041! So the same numbers keep repeating.
