Hey there, Pat -- as usual, an assortment of the Prater clan will be
aboard: Energizer bunny Miss Helen and (not Energizer bunny) myself,
Dick and Nancy, and my son, Jeff, and his bride, Shara. I hope posters/
lurkers I have not met and who are aboard will find me on the boat so
we can meet. Keith Baylor, I would really like to meet you if the
opportunity presents itself.
Since we are skipping the stop in New Madrid, I hope we will make
Louisville for the race this time. I still say this should be an eight day
trip so this concern wouldn't exist.
Bob Reynolds' wife, Sharon (a former crew member), is coming down to
the boat in Memphis with their two boys to give us all a send-off. (Bob
is, as you can tell from his postings, "on the road".) And how
wonderful it will be to see Travis V. and the BELLE gang (and maybe
Alan Bates?) in Louisville! (Though Travis should be over on the DQ
with us ...) It's my understanding that there will be, thankfully, some
familiar and well-loved faces among the crew on the DQ. Looking
forward mightily to seeing the others of the usual river clan that takes
this trip on the boat, including, of course, Janie Greene-with-a-
final-"e" and Capt. Doc Hawley, the special guests of honor.
