Subject: Re: River Carferry

The former Detroit River carferry you refer to is the LANDSDOWNE. It was at some point in time taken to Erie, Pa. to become part of a lakefront developement. It seems refubishment of the heavily vandalized Skytops and hulk of a ferry was beyond the means of the owner and atracting investors has been unsucessful. Last winter it sank at its dock but has since been raised. the city has served notice it must be removed. The future looks bleak.
