Subject: Re: Str./m/v PRESIDENT - "Live from the Levee"

Ain't no cally-ope pipes from the PRESIDENT in my River Room either! I do have a small balsa wood life float from her, courtesy of Capt. Roddy Hammett. In the late 1970's, Capt. Lexie Palmore and I "rooted" in a pile of discarded junque from the PRESIDENT on the St. Louis levee, shortly after she had returned to New Orleans after being dieselized. We found a few small odds & ends worth carting home on the DQ. Thanks for the report Bob! I look forward to hearing more about the future of the PRESIDENT and applaud the efforts and enthusiasm of the new owners.
