Pat, the DQ has made appearances in MANY movies, sometimes only a fleeting glimpse, but it's unmistakably the DQ. Often, they placed two tall fake stakes on her and didn't cover the "real" one, making her a "three stacker"! She's in "Raintree County" for sure. Might have been in "Mississippi Gambler", but I can't remember. I'll look for that list of movies featuring steamboats that was published in The Waterways Journal several years ago. Other boats, like the TENNESSEE BELLE, TOM GREENE, etc. have been showing up in recent documentaries like the PBS special on the Mississippi River, etc. Some of them are available on video. The "On the Waterways" series also has segments on the DQ, JULIA BELLE SWAIN, etc. It, too, is available on video. Stay tuned!
