Thanks, Dale, for your complimentary words about my calliope playing. Haven't played the steam pianna for a good while and am a bit rusty since I turned to the pipe organ. Haven't played any calliope tunes for church, but I did play my own version of "Old Man River" during a very long offertory once. I covered up the basic melody with some elaborate "fru=fru" and nobody noticed! Lots of great calliope players on the river now -- and Travis coaxes music out of it that I never dreamed of! Wonder what Homer Denney would think?!
