Hi, Judy: You hit the 'proverbial nail.' Garbage, oil, chemicals, human waste etc., really have fouled our rivers, lates and the oceans. A retired friend of ours and I were walking the beach one early AM at Daytona Beach, Fla., I spied what looked like a white crew jump suit in the surf. Don said, "Don't touch it! How do you know it wasn't thrown over from a nuclear ship! Hmmmmm. Beaches in the Bahama chain are littered with garbage, plastic and styrofoam from locals and ships far out at sea. Cheers, R.
