After reading one of I think Judy's posts in which she noticed that Doc and Roddy labelled a crowd as "Kentucky Lakers", I laughed myself to death because I knew exactly what they were talking about. After one has been around the passengers for a long time, one begins to recognize some patterns which the no no people would call the dreaded "stereotyping. It's wrong and ignorant, I know, but frankly SOME of it ain't all wrong, I hate ta tellya! How else, for example, would some of the hostesses know which one of the senior citizen ladies to choose as perfect hula dancer candidates for the old ship's concert? Or which old man leader "types" would be good captins for the old show"battle of the banks"? Show me ten people over 60 and line them up and I'll tell ya which ones are Ky. Laker types, St. Paulers, etc. AND which ones would never step foot on a steamboat!I'll betcha I'd be right 80% of the time at least! So would other posters on this board who've been observant . Well, I thought I'd amuse you or enrage you? by listing just a few of the Stereotypical "truths" which I,ve observed over the years..and I,m well aware that there are many exceptions to my ignorant remarks here.I'll just randomly list a few. You may or may not agree, of course. 1.) Most rich people stand up straight. 2.}Californians smile alot.3.} Southerners laugh alot.4,}Senior citizens who dance will live longer.5.} the really filthy rich aren"t all that much into rings and clothes, but DO know designers, etc.6.} Most gay men I've known are brilliant.7.} the old quote by somebody that dummies usually talk about people, smart people talk about places and brilliant people talk about ideas is somewhat but not always true.8.} many very creative people are tempermental or touchy. 9.} The biggest fraility of humans is jealousy 10.} People who feel inferior due to poverty, lack of confidence , etc. say this expressions:"We're just as good as they are"...comparative cracks which demean the foe. And there are so so many others..Don't expect many will agree and maybe that's just a stereotype!..Jane
