Hi, Richard: Thanks to you and Jane for the memories Re: the DQ's old 'crew dining room.' Man, I bet the passengers would have croaked if they knew what was being whispered behind that wall! Yeah, Albert Kelly was a real veteran of the old days. He began his career as a cub pilot with the old LOUISVILLE & CINCINNATI PACKET LINE when owned by Commodore Laidley. Engineer Charlie Dietz and Kelly were the ones who passed the data to me about everybody getting a "cut of the coal pile" in the old L & C LINE before it went belly up and the GREENE LINE acquired the holdings. Kelly's memories of the Laidley ownership/management were less than complimentary. Cheers, R. Dale Flick
