Must be something about cats and river people that go together. One of the last stories Jim Swift did for the WJ was a compilation of those river people he knew who had cats, but you're the first I've heard to have one on board. What about the little deal in the Vox Calliopus "oath" about never playing Marching through Georgia on the calliope? I ignorantly don't know to what that refers. Also, when we reached the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi, we threw coins in. I don't know if that is still done. ........
