Subject: Re: List of Greene Line boats and years under Greenes

Curiosity about the origins of the name Carybird compelled me to call my brother Tommy because I remember daddy talking about "Aunt Cary" and needed areminder of who she was. He said that she was the wife of Gordon C. Greene's brother Junius?? He added, "Don't ya remember when daddy"d go over to Newport, Ohio, daddy would visit Aunt Cary and she was always in bed?" I laughed and said "Don't tell me EVERYTHING!" Nevertheless, I wonder if they named the boat after her??Probably not, actually, as I re-read Judy's posting. Probably some connection to Cairo Birds Trade. Jane
