The Cary Bird a sternwheel ferry-packet steel hull 1925-46; built in Pt. Pleasant by Marietta Manufacturing Co. 139x30x5.2; built for Cairo-Birds Point ferry trade, J.S.Hacker superintendent; When the bridge was built there, she was sold to Ohio River Transit Co of Louisville and operated Louisville-Cincinnati. In 1934 she was wearing the whistle formerly on Chaperon from Green River which later had been on towboat Tom Williams. Sold to Greene Line steamers November 1936. Dismanteled and became a Cincinnati boat clubhouse 1946. ---from Way's Packet Directory .....................
