Yes, I remember that day well. That was the time Dorothea Frye got mad at us because her coughing blocked out hearing all our comments. I think I compared your grandmother to Kate Smith, with all the different black dresses. You mention her in a uniform. I'm trying to think if I've ever seen her in a picture in uniform. It seems that at any age she was always in a dark-colored(probably black) dress. And as long as we're talking Greene family fashion here, Jane just loves the picture of her father in a dress! Its a family portrait when he was maybe 3 or 4 on the Greenwood, maybe? As you all may or may not know, many of the 28 boats owned by the Greenes had Green.. in the name. If anyone's curious, I'll list all the Greene Line boats in a posting to come........
