Some 36 years after the sinking, there isn't much left of the wreck to resemble the grand old GORDON C. GREENE / RIVER QUEEN, but I hope you can get down there and give us an up-to-the-minute report. Some years ago, it was reported in a magazine article that a "mysterious hulk" had come to light along the levee and the name of the vessel was the "VER QU". This had lots of folks scratching their heads and searching through old directories of boat names. What the reporter didn't realize was that he was seeing only part of the name RIVER QUEEN on the bow!
