Ok, thinking caps on. What Presidents have been on steamboats? Gerald Ford chartered the Natchez for a day in 76. They rode from Destrehan into NOLA, one of the few out of town trips the N. has made. In 88, we brought then Vice-President George Bush from the Navy Base into Canal Street on the N. for the Republican convention. Also aboard on that trip was his son, George W. So neither was President at the time of their ride. Somebody rode the Belle, help Keith - Ronald Reagan or Richard Nixon? And of course, Teddy Roosevelt rode on the MississippiI during the big caravan celebrating (fill in blank). Lady Bird rode the DQ, but LBJ didn't. Anyone else??
