Jane, you oughtta know that we NEVER get tired of hearin' or tellin' stories about life on the river! Your list contained some of those really "classic" questions from passengers! And I just recalled the one where a man asked if they put colored water in the boilers to create the "aurora effect" (as E.J. Quinby called it) for the calliope -- when it was merely colored lights mounted behind the whistles!
