The jogging incident was one of my favorites. Henry Mitchell was summoned out of bed by the Lounge Porter on duty reporting that "someone" was jogging on the Sundeck. Henry, half dressed, not knowing it was the President, his personal physician, his military aid, and his body guards creating the ruckus, headed for the Sundeck to politely tell the evildoers to jog at a later time. He said when he saw the entourage rounding the corner by the calliope he simply turned around and went back to bed without saying a thing (a smart move on his part if you ask me). That night on the network evening news, the story reported to the nation was the President, on the first day of his vacation, has disturbed all the passengers and the Purser's Office was flooded with complaints. Well, I was there all day and there was not one complaint to our office. Unfortunately, the President found other places on land to jog every day after that. Sometimes we made very early stops for his exercise. More to follow. Let me know when you have had enough.
Ted
