Actually, Jane is writing this FOR Tom and she quotes:" Another irony about the Gordon is that because of HER we were able to buy the Delta Queen! We had a surgeof business during the war because of gas rationed, so people were flocking to the Gordon in droves for their vacation. Made alot of dough, thus were able to think about the DQ. It wasn't ONLY because of that storm that we bought the Cape Girardeau=the Gordon; it was also because of the prosperity gleaned from war times." Yours, Tom Greene
