Yep, there ain't nothin' like Judy's recipe for her special "STEAMBOAT CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES" anywhere on the river! I well remember landing at Muscatine in the middle of the night to take on water. The stage wouldn't quite reach, so Capt. Bob Reynolds (then DQ Mate) and I placed an extension ladder from the end of the stage to the bank. Judy literally crawled across it, bringing several large coffee cans filled with the delicious cookies! I also have a recollection that Bob and I somehow "forgot" to take the can designated for the purser's office to the purser's office -- and it ended up in the pilothouse! Those cookies, along with cups of hot steamboat coffee, were ambrosia to us as we steamed up the river that night. Thanks, Judy!!!
You're still the undisputed "Cookie Queen" of the river system!
