Subject: Thanks! Capt. Mike & Phyllis.

Hi, gang:

WOW! Thanks for the info on finding the GORDON C. GREENE and Capt. Jesse P. Hughes. Keith Norrington will flip when he reads about the GORDON. I'm working on a movie conversion process to VCR tape for TV projection featuring the GORDON C. GREENE in/around 1941 on a New Orleans trip. Shows Capt. Tom Greene (color movie) throwing snowballs on the boat's roof. Another movie can is of old steamboats in/around Cincinnati. This in trust from the estate of the late Charles Brown.

Sure, Capt. Jesse, Helen, Nancy and Dick are friends. I recall Capt. Jesse when he lived here in Cincinnati on Ashland Ave., and attended the STEAMSHIP HISTORICAL SOCIETY meetings at the Public Library back in the mid to late 1950s. Jesse spent untold hours examining and annotating the collection of steamboat photos for the Cincinnati Historical Society when it was located at the University of Cincinnati Library. Jane Greene can tell you tons more about Jesse and Telia. He was still standing duty in the DQ's pilot house on a 1962 Pittsburgh trip, 10 days round trip from Cincinnati.
Thanks for the postings you two. Thanks for the 'memories.' I think I've worn out my welcome.
Cheers,
R. ('Gabby') Dale Flick
