In response to Judy's query if the ship's doctor got free room and board...seems to me that back then most EVERYBODY got free room and board!(smile)..that's why we'er poor today. ANyway, yes, they did. And loved to hear Doc Hawley tell about that horrible night, as Judy referred to. He and Doc Hudson DID head for the galley with a little aluminin carry case fulla aspirin, methiolade, bandaids and "quick-step stoppers"..and when they saw what happened to the chef,their eyes nearly fell out.==Jane
