Is that the one which was Doc Hudson's first trip? He had been coaxed on board with the idea that all he'd have to do is pass out aspirin, laxatives, and kind assuring words, and the first night the slashing in the kitchen happened. It didn't stop him from riding though, and I met him years later on the Natchez. He had gone to Public Health in his retirement years. Incidentally, for you relatively new DQers, the Greenes used to have a physician ride along because the trips were round trips and lengthy, often 21 days. Then as now, the passenger list was geriatric (all of us board members excluded, of course!) Didn't the doctor get free room and board, Jane? ..............
